PECS is a form of augmentative and alternative communication.

A functional communication system used for children with ASD possessing a wide variety of communication challenges from preschool to adults.

PECS is evidently effective and beneficial for those who have limited or no speech due to the spectrum or other communication disorders.

TEACCH is a structured teaching approach.

Utilises the child’s strength of visual skills to help focus on relevant and meaningful information in the environment.

Focuses on the development of independent skills.

It provides a prosthetic device that assists the child with transferring the skills to other environments.

Allows us to limit the need for verbal language to mediate meaning in a learning situation, which helps the child to take initiative on taking action without any verbal prompt.
The Lighthouse Approach
Occupational therapy treatment focuses on helping people with a physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities. OT can help children with various needs improve their cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor skills. It enhances their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. be as independent as possible in all areas of their lives.







We require the pupils whose Parents and/or Guardians are interested in availing any of our programmes & services to have an INITIAL ASSESSMENT with our SPED Program Coordinator. This is needed for
an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to be developed for pupils with disabilities. IEP ensures their educational goals are achieved. It is a required step in the process of receiving special education services.
A pupil's parents, teachers, and other service providers meet to come to a consensus about the educational accommodations necessary to assist the student in meeting the objectives. This group of professionals and parents are known as the IEP Team.
IEPs can be written for academic, social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities.
